Shepparton Agricultural Society Inc – 1876–2026

The Shepparton Agricultural Society Inc. is proud to announce a significant milestone in 2026 — celebrating 150 years of service to the community.

Established in 1876, the Society has played a vital role in promoting agriculture, fostering community spirit, and delivering one of the region’s most anticipated annual events, the Shepparton Show.

The 150-year celebrations will take place at the 2026 Shepparton Show, to be held on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th October 2026. This landmark event will honour the rich history of the Society while showcasing the vibrant future of agriculture and regional events in the Goulburn Valley.

For a century and a half, the Shepparton Agricultural Society Inc has brought together generations of families, farmers, businesses, volunteers and exhibitors. From livestock competitions and equestrian events to pavilion displays, entertainment and educational experiences, the Show continues to reflect the strength and diversity of the region.

Secretary Julie Winch said the milestone represents more than just a number.

“Reaching 150 years is a remarkable achievement for any community organisation. It reflects the dedication of past and present volunteers, committee members, exhibitors and sponsors who have ensured the Shepparton Show remains a cornerstone event for our region.”

The 2026 Show will feature special anniversary acknowledgements, historical displays and opportunities for past members and the wider community to be part of the celebration.

The Society invites the community, past participants, sponsors and supporters to join in marking this historic occasion and help celebrate 150 years of agricultural heritage and community connection.
